OTTAWA, Aug 23 (Reuters) - Canada's retail sales dropped in June, data showed on Friday, as consumers continued to feel the impact of high interest rates and cut back on discretionary purchases.
Canadian retail sales grew by 0.9% in July from June, eclipsing forecasts for a gain of 0.6%, while a preliminary estimate showed sales up 0.5% in August.
