LIV Golf's attempt to strike a deal with the DP World Tour and 'wipe out penalties' for the likes of Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton has been rejected, per Sports Illustrated.

According to Guy Kinnings, CEO of the DP World Tour, the appeals process is still in flux. Options include the internal appeals process, which is mainly used for disciplinary issues on the various tours, or the Sport Resolutions Panel, which heard the appeals of Ian Poulter, Adrian Otaegui and Justin Harding against the European Tour Group in 2022.

Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka, two of the biggest stars on the Saudi-backed LIV Golf League, plan to play on the DP World Tour this fall. Both players mentioned in press conferences Wednesday at LIV Golf Chicago they’d be committing to the European circuit events, and on Rahm’s side, that includes a Ryder Cup plan.
