Hurricane Helene: Pinellas County updates & information
Pinellas County issued a mandatory evacuation for long term health care facilities in Zone A. This includes hospitals, nursing homes and assisted living facilities, 26 facilities total. Pinellas County will also begin evacuating registrants with special needs at 9 a.
Pinellas County schools to close as Helene approaches Florida
After consulting with the county emergency management department, the Pinellas County school district announced it will close all schools and offices Wednesday and Thursday. All sports and school activities for those two days also are canceled. Tuesday’s sports and activities are set to take place as scheduled.
