A Scandinavian Airlines flight to Malaga landed in Copenhagen after a rodent jumped out of a passenger's meal and escaped, posing a safety threat.

OSLO, Norway (WKRC) - A flight was diverted after a mouse jumped out of a passenger's meal last Wednesday. According to USA Today, a Scandinavian Airlines flight from Oslo, Norway to Málaga, Spain was diverted due to a mouse.

A woman flying on Scandinavian Airlines flight from Oslo, Norway, to Malaga, Spain, was preparing to eat her in-flight meal. When she opened the box containing the meal, she was stunned to see a live mouse hop out, the BBC reports. The incident forced the plane to make a diversion and land in Copenhagen, Denmark.

A Scandinavian Airlines spokesperson said the rodent posed a “safety risk” to travelers, who were flying from Oslo, Norway, to Malaga, Spain on Wednesday, Sept. 17
